I'm confused about what people say is God's love?

Until I read Mephisto's answer I did not know about Marcionism. I appreciate learning new facts about the religion that is most important to me. The ideas presented are worth looking into in greater detail if you are so inclined. There's nothing like learning to help eliminate confusion. The only requirement is willingness.
