What do you think the poem means?

It sounds like some act of war. An invasion by another country, and the people feel like the world is ending, and must protect their children, and the sun swarming the sky may be bombs. And then they just return home after all the destruction is done, and everyone has now lost their comfort and security. Great job, I really loved it!
